Diversity Statement
Current as of October 2026
informed.now runs on a meritocracy of ideas: the best idea wins, whoever brings it. That only works when everyone can bring one. So everyone is welcome here, wherever you come from, whatever you believe, whoever you love, and whichever cultures you call your own.
Meritocracy of Ideas
We judge ideas and the work behind them. We don't judge anyone by their background, beliefs, sexuality, or cultural identity. Our job is to find the news that changes the most lives, and people with different lives notice different things. The more of those lives on our team, the more good ideas we get to choose from.
Team Diversity
Recruitment at informed.now is open to applicants of all backgrounds and rolls all year. We attract outstanding talent from across the world, and we favor candidates who already read us and bring tangible ideas for our mission. If the role you want is not listed, pitch us the one you would create on our careers page.
You don't need a particular background to apply, and you won't need to hide any part of who you are to work here. Bring an idea and the will to own it.
Once you're here, your ideas get the same hearing as anyone else's. We experiment, learn, and iterate until we find the best solution, and we don't care whose idea it was. We challenge ideas hard. But who you are is never up for debate.
Reader Diversity
The news we text you earns its place the same way. We pick each story by its impact: how much it changes the lives of how many people. Where people may read the same facts differently, we show the contrasting evidence with attribution and leave the conclusion to you. Our methodology explains how we pick.
We write for readers of every background, belief, and identity across the US and Canada. Our texts are free, so cost never decides who gets the facts.
