Current as of October 2026

[informed.now](https://informed.now/) is committed to being useful to and usable by everyone, including people with diverse cognitive and physical abilities. We built our news research service around a plain text message with that commitment in mind. Our news texts work with screen readers and text size settings already on your device. We hold our website to the same accessibility standard. If something doesn't work for you, please [tell](https://informed.now/contact) us. We'll help you get what you need and fix what we can.

## Our Accessibility Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across our website. We share the goal of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Equal access for people with diverse abilities. External sites we may link to naturally fall outside this statement, as we have no control of their interfaces.

## Accessibility on Our Website

Most pages have one main heading plus navigation, main content, and footer regions, so screen readers can move through them. We design our own pages so you can reach and use them with a keyboard alone. Our images have text alternatives, and decorative ones are marked so screen readers skip them. At 200% zoom in a typical laptop or desktop window, pages reflow automatically to device screen size. The site comes in light and dark mode. Our videos have subtitles and play muted by default. With reduced motion turned on, our videos wait for you to press play, and all animations assume their end state.

## Our News-by-Text Service

Our daily news briefing text is our main service. It's a plain text message, so it works with the accessibility settings already on your phone. It reads aloud with VoiceOver and TalkBack, follows your phone's text size, and is written to make sense without color, images, or layout. Each story links to its source on the publisher's site (those sites set their own accessibility commitments). If the text doesn't work well for you, [reach](https://informed.now/contact) out and we'll look for something that does.

## Accessibility of Third Party Content

External sites we may link to fall outside our control. This includes our core news research references and certain components of our service experience (such as our infrastructure and payment providers). If something doesn't work for you, just [tell](https://informed.now/contact) us. We'll help you get what you need and fix what we can.
